Connect Claude to your digital wardrobe. Claude can see what you own, suggest outfits from those pieces, and — if you opt in — save a new private look. It never edits or deletes existing items or outfits.

What the connector does

The RunwayReady connector lets Claude work with your digitized closet over a first-party OAuth connection. After you sign in and approve access, Claude can summarize and search items you already own, check whether an occasion is feasible, show item photos and outfit previews, suggest looks from your wardrobe (not a shopping catalog), and open those looks in Style Builder in the RunwayReady app.

Claude cannot sell items, change who can see a look, edit or delete wardrobe data, or see anyone else’s closet. Saving a new outfit is the only write, and only after you grant that scope and explicitly agree in the conversation.

Tools Claude can use

These tools are advertised to Claude after you connect. Read tools never change your wardrobe. save_outfit is the only write, and it only creates a new private look.

    Returns counts, zones, favorites, wear extremes, recent items, and gaps — orientation for your closet.

    Same orientation data as overview, under an alternate name.

    Reports whether an occasion is feasible from items you already own.

    Filters and pages your wardrobe (category, color, season, brand, and more) with item photos and share links.

    Fetches specific owned items by id, with photos and share links.

    Compares up to eight owned items side by side.

    Returns one item with a larger photo and a share link.

    Returns existing item photos (does not generate new flat-lays) plus share links.

    Composes an outfit thumbnail from item photos and a Style Builder link that opens those pieces in the app.

  • find_similar_itemsRead

    Finds similar owned items from a piece or a text prompt. Advertised only when vector search is enabled.

Premium requirement

The connector is included with RunwayReady Premium (also Metal and Ultra). The product entitlement key is mcpConnector. Free accounts are refused at connect time with an upgrade prompt — Claude does not retry OAuth in a loop.

You must sign in with the same RunwayReady account that holds the paid plan. Entitlement is checked again on every request, so a downgrade stops access immediately.

OAuth scopes

A directory install consents read-only by default: items, outfit suggestions, and derivative photos, plus offline access so the connection can refresh. wardrobe.outfits.write is advertised but not in the default grant — you only see it if Claude (or you) requests it, and you confirm it on the consent screen.

How to connect

  1. 1. Open Claude

    Use claude.ai or the Claude app, signed in to the account that should hold the connection.

  2. 2. Open Connectors

    Go to Settings → Connectors. Choose RunwayReady from the directory, or add a custom connector and paste the MCP URL above.

  3. 3. Sign in to RunwayReady

    Complete OAuth with the same email you use in the RunwayReady app. You need an active Premium (or higher) plan.

  4. 4. Review consent

    Default access is read-only. Approve write only if you want Claude to save new outfits. You can decline write and still use every read tool.

How to revoke

Disconnecting in Claude revokes the OAuth grant. Later tool calls fail until you connect again. RunwayReady does not keep a durable original-photo pipeline for Claude — derivative images expire within minutes.

  1. 1. Open Connectors in Claude

    Go to Settings → Connectors and find RunwayReady.

  2. 2. Disconnect

    Choose disconnect / revoke. Claude then calls our token revocation endpoint; refresh tokens stop working.

Privacy

Wardrobe data is shared with Claude only after you sign in and consent. We send item metadata and short-lived derivative photos — not original uploads, not storage keys, and not other people’s closets.
